What the tool does
It converts a minimum and maximum size plus a viewport range into a CSS clamp() value, shows how the result renders at common screen widths, and exports it as plain CSS, a custom property or a Tailwind class. A type scale mode builds a whole modular scale, and a spacing mode does the same for padding, margin and gap.
Who it is for
Front-end developers who want a reliable clamp() value without reaching for a spreadsheet, designers who hand off responsive type specs, and teams building design systems with fluid tokens. The explanations on each page are written so that beginners can follow the math, while experienced developers can simply copy the output and move on.
How it is built
The site is statically generated with Next.js and runs entirely in your browser. There is no account, no database and no server-side processing; your values live only in the page URL. The math is a small, unit-tested TypeScript module, and the site is available in seven languages.
Feedback
FluidClamp is maintained alongside other free web tools such as ContrastCheck and the Aspect Ratio Calculator. If you spot a bug or a translation that reads awkwardly, please report it through the project's repository on GitHub.
